As summer approaches the coast guard is reminding New England boaters to be safe out on the water this summer.
Some safety tips the coast guard suggest include wearing a life jacket, never boat under the influence, tell a friend or family member wear you plan on boating, have a VHF marine radio, monitor weather broadcasts, and have a signaling device to communicate an emergency.
The coast guard also would like to remind Cape Cod Boaters that although outside temperatures are heating up water temperatures remain dangerously cold.
