Cotuit Center for the Arts Presents ‘Dark Night Cabaret: Holiday Edition’

COTUIT – Cotuit Center for the Arts presents “Dark Night Cabaret: Holiday Edition” next month in the Black Box Theater.

The song selections for the special Holiday Edition of Dark Knight will include a mix of classic Christmas carols, popular holiday radio hits, and a few lesser-known wintertime tunes.

“In theater, a ‘dark night’ is a night on which there are no performances and the theater is closed. These are often the only nights off for performers,” said director Holly Erin McCarthy.

“But not all performers want to stay home and rest on their nights off. I have put together a cast of incredibly busy – and incredibly talented and dynamic – working performers who have decided to spend their nights off – their dark nights – entertaining an intimate audience at Cotuit Center for the Arts.”

The cast features a rotating group of performers, three per night, including Hannah Carrita, Emma Fitzpatrick, Jared Hagan, Trish La Rose, Meghan Magrath, and Anthony Teixeira.

“The evening will be casual and fun and a rare chance to spend time with these signers as themselves, no frills, no characters, no script no holding back,” McCarthy said.

“They will be candid and carefree as they chat with each other and the audience, tell stories and sing about 80 minutes of beautiful music. Do plan to attend more than once to see a different combination of dark night performers.”

The performances will take place Sunday and Monday, December 8th and 9th, and 15th and 16th.

Featured on December 8th will be Emma Fitzpatrick, Hannah Carrita, and Meghan Magrath. On December 9th, the performers are Anthony Teixeira, Jared Hagan, and Trish La Rose.

Teixeira, Carrita, and La Rose will perform on December 15th, and Hagan, Magrath, and Fitzpatrick will perform on the 16th.

The performances will have snacks and a cash bar, and patrons will have the chance to mingle and chat with the performers themselves during and after the show.

Tickets are $20, $15 for members.

Cotuit Center for the Arts is located at 4404 Route 28 in Cotuit.
