Cranberry Fest to Cause Traffic Delays in Harwich

Cape Cod CranberriesHARWICH – As Harwich gears up for the Cranberry Festival on Saturday and Sunday, officials are reminding those travelling through town on those days of some traffic concerns.

Minor delays on Oak Street and Main Street can be expected throughout the weekend.

The parade on Sunday will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Route 28 and Freeman Street.

It will travel through Harwichport, Doane Road and South Street.

From there, it will make a right onto Sisson Road, Main Street and end at Main and Bank Street.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., some additional detours will be in place, including Route 28 at Gorham Road, to Bank Street and Lovers Lane.

Great Western Road will be closed to Lothrop Avenue to Gilbert Lane to Sisson Road to Route 28 in both directions.

Lower County Road will be closed at Brooks Road.
