“Daughter of the Dunes: The Literary Life of Josephine Del Deo” Comes to Provincetown

PROVINCETOWN – The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum in collaboration with actor and director Stuard M. Derrick, is hosting “Daughter of the Dunes: The Literary Life of Josephine Del Deo.”

The event is an evening of readings about the literary life of the late Josephine Del Deo, who is featured in this season’s new exhibition on her family, “Creating a Difference – The Del Deo Family of Provincetown: Art and Activism on the Outer Cape.”

The event will feature remarks from her husband Sal Del Deo, poetry readings, excerpts from her autobiographical writings and the performance of a one-act play that she wrote, “The Burial Ground.”

As part of “Free Admission Wednesdays,” the event is free and open to the public and includes free parking. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a cash bar.

Every Wednesday through August, the PMPM offers free admission from 5pm – 7pm as part of its contribution to the community.
