Dennis-Yarmouth High School Students Produce Anti-Vaping Videos

BARNSTABLE – Dennis-Yarmouth High School students have produced several PSA videos addressing vaping and underage drinking.

The five videos were made as part of a mini-grant in the amount of $2,300 given to the school by the Barnstable County Department of Human Services.

Students enrolled in the Broadcasting Technology course at D-Y planned and mapped the PSAs with their Instructor Reade Whinnem. The videos took a day and a half to shoot.

This grant was a part of the Substance Abuse Prevention Collaborative (SAPC), which is a commonwealth-wide program to educate communities about underage drinking and other illicit substance use.

The videos are available for view on YouTube searchable under “D-Y High School PSA Videos” and will be aired on the school’s educational access Channel 22, the Town of Yarmouth and Dennis public channels, and the Cape Cod Community College media access channel.
