Falmouth Accepting Aquaculture Proposals for Eel River

FALMOUTH – The Town of Falmouth is accepting aquaculture proposals from individuals or organizations for three sites in Eel River.

The intent of the public-private partnership is to remove nitrogen to restore impaired estuaries.

Contractors selected will grow oysters and remove them on an annual basis.

Statements of Qualifications will be accepted at the Town Manager’s office through July 26.

Copies of the SOQ application may be obtained by sending an email with the subject “Aquaculture SOQ” to [email protected] or may be picked up at the office at Town Hall.

Facsimile or electronic submissions will not be accepted and postmarks will not be considered. Any SOQ’s received after 3 p.m. on July 26 will be returned to the applicant unopened.

License terms will be negotiated subsequent to selection. The Town Manager reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals and waive any informality in license procedures to the extent allowed by law and make the award deemed to be in the best interest of the town.
