D-Y High School Students Display Work at Boston Artists Exhibition

SOUTH YARMOUTH – Work created by a collection of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School students in the Advanced Placement 3D Art and Design course have had their work accepted into the 2019 Massachusetts Amazing Emerging Artists Exhibition.

Artwork by students Lucy Agurkis, Anastasia Batson, Skyler Burke, Reginald Miranda Filho, and Elizabeth Hohmann have been chosen for display.

In addition, Batson was one of just three students across the state to receive a UMass Dartmouth CVPA scholarship worth $1,000 for her jewelry work.

The exhibition is juried by the Massachusetts Art Educators Association (MAFA). The students’ work will be displayed at the Transportation Building in Boston from February 11 through March 27.

The exhibit is open on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. A “Family Celebration” will be held on Sunday, March 3 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
