Former Orleans Police Chief Dies

ORLEANS – A fixture in the Town of Orleans has passed away.

Former Police Chief Don Walsh served in the Orleans Police Department for 30 years, starting in 1958 and retiring in 1988.

Walsh held a number of titles during his tenure with the department and became Chief in 1984, where he held the position for 4 years until his retirement in 1988.

After his retirement, Walsh worked with parks and beaches in the town for 15 years.
