Governor and Lt. Governor Endorse McCoy for State Committee

BOURNE – Barbara McCoy has received the endorsement of Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito in her candidacy for re-election for Republican State Committeewoman.

The election is on the same ballot as the presidential primary on March 1.

McCoy faces former Bourne Selectman Linda Zuern for the position.

“The key to building the Republican Party in Massachusetts is assembling a strong grassroots team that focuses on supporting Republican candidates up and down the ticket,” said Governor Baker. “Barbara has done just that with her experience on the State Committee. She’s helped get more Republicans elected at every level of government and played a critical role in our successful campaign in 2014.”

McCoy kicked off her campaign last night at an event in Plymouth.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito,” said McCoy. “They know that getting more Republicans elected will be a win for the Commonwealth.”

McCoy has been a state committee member since first being elected in 2004.
