Hyannis Harbor Hawks Searching for New Field Manager

HYANNIS – A search is underway by the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Hyannis Harbor Hawks for a new field manager.

Chad Gassman was the longest-serving coach of the Harbor Hawks and has taken the athletic director position at Waldorf College in Iowa, where he previously served as baseball coach.

He also leaves Judson University in Illinois where he served as baseball coach and athletic director.

Gassman was the Cape Cod League’s Manager of the Year in 2011 and helped lead the team to three West Division titles since 2009.

He served as pitching coach for the Harbor Hawks in 2008.

According to the Harbor Hawks, Gassman is looking forward to returning to Waldorf as well as moving his family back to the area.

He starts the new job in the next few weeks.
