HARWICH – Walking through conservation areas can provide some of best scenes across the Cape and the Harwich Conservation Trust will be holding free walks all throughout the summer season.
The trust will be sponsoring four walks this month with the first walk Saturday through the Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands.
The walk will include views of the East and West Reservoirs, Herring River and cranberry bogs and the moderately paced walk begins at 9 a.m.
The next walk will be held on Saturday, June 13, and will take walkers through the Bank Street Bogs Nature Preserve to focus on plant species. The walk begins at 10 a.m.
The last two walks of the month will be held on Thursday, June 25, and Friday, June 26.
The Thursday walk will be again held at the Bank Street Bogs Nature Preserve and the Friday walk will focus on the birds and butterflies of Thompson’s Field.
There will be several more walks through the rest of the season.
