John McDermott to Perform Concert Next Week to Benefit Champ Homes

ORLEANS–Scottish-Canadian tenor John McDermott will be performing a concert entitled “A Special Salute to Veterans” on November 10 to benefit Champ Homes.

McDermott is widely known for his renditions of “Danny Boy” and “Loch Lomond,” as well as his tenure with The Irish Tenors, a singing group prominently featured on PBS. He has recorded over 25 albums in his career.

Proceeds from the show help provide shelter to the homeless population on Cape Cod. Champ Homes looks to also provide transitional housing to those in the area. Over 2,700 Cape Codders, including veterans, have utilized Champ Homes’ services since its establishment in 1991.

The show begins at 3 p.m. at the Nauset Middle School Auditorium. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. VIP tickets, which include a meet-and-greet with McDermott, are $100.
