HYANNIS-  The 2018 JFK Hyannis Museum ‘Founders Community Leadership Award’ has been presented to Artistic Director & Conductor of the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, Jung-Ho Pak.

“It really is not my award, but really our recognition for the symphony and the conservatory and all the work that we have been doing over the last several years. The reason this means so much to me is because I, and an entire generation, have been inspired by the Kennedy presidency, and its ideals,” says Pak.

“This is our 4th year of having this award luncheon and it recognizes individuals, or organizations who have really demonstrated initiative, impact, and inspiration of others on Cape Cod, and have made a difference to the quality of life and activities in our Cape Cod area,” said John Allen, JFK Museum Executive Director.

Pak highlighted during the ceremony the impact that Bobby Kennedy’s words of wisdom has on him, while preforming on-stage; “his words were constantly one of idealism, optimism, and a moral imperative to do the right thing. I guess that’s what I’ve been trying to do in my corner of the world with art, trying to make art the God given right of every citizen.”

The Luncheon took place at the Hyannisport Country Club in Hyannis where Pulitzer Prize-winning, and former Boston Globe columnist Eileen McNamara, author of “Eunice: The Kennedy Who Changed the World” presented the keynote address.
