Local Scout Leaders Honored for Service

scout01SOUTH DENNIS – Twelve men from across the Cape and Islands were honored for their service to the Cape Cod & Islands Council of Boy Scouts of America recently.

The event took place on March 12th at the Nathaniel Wixon School, and featured scout leaders who were recognized for their dedication to providing around 6,000 area scouts with services all year.

Among the 2016 honorees: Edward Bruce of North Falmouth, James Saffle of Sandwich, Thomas Swift, Sr. of Falmouth, John Freeman of Martha’s Vineyard, Howard McCullough of Brewster, Doug Corb of Chatham, Bruce Cole of Osterville, Chris Chambers of Buzzards Bay, Ken Scussel of Falmouth, Michael Morris of Falmouth, Mikie Strigle of Marstons Mills and Stephen Murphy of Sandwich.
