SANDWICHMashpee’s Town Clerk Deborah Dami will oversee and tally the results for Sandwich’s Annual Town Election this May.

Sandwich Town Clerk Taylor White is running for re-election for his position and decided to recuse himself from election night duties to avoid the perception of a conflict of interest.

“This is a self-imposed measure which I feel is prudent considering I have an opponent this year. While I will be taking a back seat on election night, this does not mean I will shirk my responsibilities to conduct the extensive pre-election preparation that is required of me in my role as Town Clerk,” White said in a statement.

Dami will be present at the Town Clerk’s Office to receive the voting machines, process the results, and announce the winners.
