COURTESY OF NAUSET DISPOSAL: Nauset Disposal presented a recycle program to children at The Children’s Workshop in South Dennis on Wednesday as part of its new community outreach program.
ORLEANS – A Cape Cod disposal business has begun a new community outreach program.
Nauset Disposal employees voted in the spring to focus outreach efforts on children’s services, the environment, veteran’s services and basic needs.
The company, which is headquartered in Orleans, will support programming, non-profits and events in the four areas throughout fiscal year 2017 through community projects, volunteerism and charitable giving.
The company presented a program to preschool aged children on Wednesday at The Children’s Workshop in South Dennis to educate them on the importance of recycling.
The group played sorting games, talked about the importance of reusing or recycling materials and read a book titled “Don’t Throw That Away,” by Laura Bergen.
