ORLEANS – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation celebrated the completion of a new rotary in Orleans this year. MassDOT says the roundabout replaced the previously-hazardous, unsignalized intersection of Routes 28 and 39. Officials say this will significantly improve safety for all users with new sidewalks and crosswalks. The rotary center features a sculpture of a sailboat sail from Chatham artist Tom Odell.
