HYANNIS – The grand opening for new Target store in Hyannis at Cape Cod Mall is set to take place at 8 a.m. on Sunday, October 20th.
The 80,000-square-foot-store will offer an assortment of kids’ products, home décor, a variety of seasonal items and more.
Services also include a CVS Pharmacy location, Starbucks and Order Pickup, which allows customers to order items online and pick them up in store within an hour.
The grand opening will feature an in-store celebration for guests and complimentary reusable bags will be distributed to the first 1,000 customers.
The new location is a small-format store, which the retail company said they have been opening more nationwide and “offers an easy and convenient shopping experience in communities where a traditional-sized Target might not fit.”
The location is Target’s first store on the Cape and employs 150 people.
With the addition of the Hyannis Cape Cod store, Target now operates 104 small-format stores, with more than 1,800 stores nationwide.
Target said that they plan to open 30 small-format stores a year, over the next few years.
