Nonprofit Ambulance Service for Lower Cape Shutting Down

PROVINCETOWN – The Lower Cape Ambulance Association is closing down this summer.

The nonprofit provided medical transport service for both Provincetown and Truro for over eight decades.

The program originally planned to shut down in 2024, but that plan has since been moved up.

Both towns have their own full time paramedics and rescue squads, which have both seen growth ahead of the planned closure of the association.
