CHILMARK, Mass. (AP) — President Barack Obama did something unusual during his Martha’s Vineyard vacation: He went out on the town four nights in a row.
Obama has vacationed on the Massachusetts island for many years, including before he became president and during seven of his eight Oval Office summers.
But this summer, his final one as president, Obama has spent almost every night of his getaway painting the island red.
The stunner came Sunday. He left his rental home just before 11 p.m. to attend a social event in a nearby town and didn’t return until well after midnight.
The White House says Obama is trying to get the most out of the time he’s spending with family and friends before a busy fall.
