State Declares October ‘Cranberry Month’

BOSTON – The state has declared October as Massachusetts Cranberry Month.

In a statement, Governor Charlie Baker stressed how important the cranberry industry is to the state, and encouraged residents to support local cranberry farmers by purchasing their products.

The thousands of acres of bogs in Massachusetts provide nearly a quarter of the nation’s supply of cranberries, according to the administration.
