SOUTH DENNIS – The Dennis Police Station will be full of animals on Sunday for Dennis Animal Control’s 6th annual Pet Santa Photo Shoot.
For a $10 donation to help maintain the Cheryl Malone Fresh Pond Dog Park, residents will be able to get a picture of their pet with Santa.
Dennis Animal Control Officer Lori Miranda said the event has had a strong turnout the last five years and hopes this year will continue that trend.
“We certainly welcome anything that folks have as a pet if they want to bring it in,” Miranda said. “Last year we had a little pig that came in and a calf.”
Miranda asks that pet owners bring in their dogs and cats on leashes or in animal carriers for safety reasons.
There will also be a collection of canned goods, non-perishable food items and winter coats for children.
The donations can be made with cash or checks made payable to the town of Dennis. Checks should have “Dog Park Donation” written on the memo line.
The photo shoot will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Thomas F. Martin Training Room in the police station on Bob Crowell Road in South Dennis.
