HARWICH – Pleasant Bay Community Boating is kicking off the summer season with a list of events for the family to enjoy.
On June 27, PBCB will be hosting its Sailabration Gala. The gala kicks off the summertime with a raw bar, hors d’oeuvres, lite fare offerings, an auction and complimentary wine and beer from a local winery or brewery.
Jo Ruxton, the co-founder of the global nonprofit organization The Plastic Oceans Foundation U.K., is slated to be the keynote speaker of the event.
The Sailabration Gala will be held at the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich from 6:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
Marine science programs also get underway for kids from Cape Cod Children’s Place and Nauset Schools. In the program, students will study the biology of vertebrates, examine sea life through a microscope and learn about seals, shellfish and more.
Pleasant Bay Community Boating’s mission is to “make boating, marine education, and environmental stewardship affordable and accessible to all.”
