BOURNE – Two more prescribed burns are planned for Thursday and Friday at Camp Edwards on Joint Base Cape Cod.
The Massachusetts National Guard’s Natural Resources Program will conduct the operation.
The goal is the management and restoration of the pitch pine-scrub oak and dependent flora and fauna.
The operation will also provide for wildfire hazard reduction, firefighter training, and training lands improvement.
Camp Edwards is home to some 37 state listed species of plants and animals.
