SANDWICH – Sandwich and Bourne Selectmen will hold a joint meeting tonight to discuss issues in both towns.

The idea for the meeting came from a Buzzards Bay resident, interested in having the town pursue plans to allow Bourne residents to purchase Sandwich beach stickers.

Discussion between both towns could also include issues at Joint Base Cape Cod, wastewater treatment ideas and watershed protection planning under the 208 plan.

Sandwich residents recently approved $1.25 million in Community Preservation Act funds for beach nourishment efforts.

Bourne residents head to special election on October 6 where they will be asked to approve a $2.7 million Proposition 2 1/2 override.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Sandwich Town Hall Auditorium.
