Search Continues for Missing Fishermen

BLOCK ISLAND – The search continues this morning for two missing fishermen whose boat, The Fishing Vessel Mistress capsized off Block Island around 1:30 New Year’s morning. According to a Coast Guard Spokesman in Boston, two cutters, a small boat and a fixed wing aircraft are contributing to the effort, some of those crews are based on Cape Cod.

There has not yet been a determination as to how long the search will go on.

The vessel is home ported in Point Judith, Rhode Island.
