Thirwood Place Residents Awarded 15 Scholarships in 2019

SOUTH YARMOUTH–Residents of South Yarmouth’s Thirwood Place awarded scholarships for staff members and their children to continue education beyond high school through the Polly Hopkins Scholarship Fund.

$10,000 in total were presented to 15 scholarship recipients this year. Money for the fund is received via donations from Thirwood Place residents. The Resident’s Council at Thirwood Place has initiated fund drives for over 15 years to provide these scholarships.

The Fund is named after the late Polly Hopkins, who was the head of the Art Department at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School.
