Barnstable to Offer Flu and Pneumonia Vaccines

BARNSTABLE – The Town of Barnstable’s Public Health Division will be holding clinics for vaccinations at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church Community Center in Centerville in the coming weeks.

Residents ages 3 and over can receive a flu shot, specifically Quadrivalent.

Also, the Pneumo 23 immunization will be available for eligible residents 55 years and older to combat pneumonia. Residents with an M.D. recommendation may also be eligible for this immunization.

The clinics will be held October 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. and November 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. A nominal charge of $3 will be implemented.

If someone is unable to pay, the charge will be waived. The Public Health Division is asking that the correct amount be provided.

Consent forms can be picked up in advance at the Senior Center or Public Health Division Office, both in Hyannis. For more information, visit www.townofbarnstable.us/departments/healthdivision.
