Wellfleet Cultural Council Accepting Grant Proposals

wellfleet-cultureWELLFLEET – The Wellfleet Cultural Council is currently accepting applications for 2017 cultural council grants.

The deadline is Monday, October 17.

Proposals for programs in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences are all welcome provided they benefit the Wellfleet community.

These grants can support a wide range of local projects and activities such as exhibitions, live performances, publications, workshops and classes.

Each year, the Council provides funding for cultural projects that benefit Wellfleet.

Last year, the Wellfleet Cultural Council made 36 grants totaling $8,600.

Those who need help with their proposal are encouraged to attend a live help desk session on September 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wellfleet Public Library.

All proposals must either be completed online, postmarked or stamped received at the Wellfleet Town Hall Clerk’s office by the October 17 deadline.

The deadline is firm and late applications will be disqualified.

The Council is accepting proposals either in paper or online formats.

The option to apply online is new this year.

The Wellfleet Cultural Council is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and by the Town of Wellfleet.
