YARMOUTH – A Yarmouth officer was injured while on a traffic detail after being hit by a car Tuesday.
He was described as alert while being transported to a Boston hospital.
The incident occurred on Route 28 near Rosemary Lane. Authorities said the officer was wearing high visibility gear at the time of the incident.
Authorities did not publicly name the officer or those involved in the impact.
