Yarmouth Police K-9 Sgt. Gannon Honored with Playground in Hometown

NEW BEDFORD – Yarmouth Police K-9 Sgt. Sean Gannon, who died in the line of duty last year, will be honored with a playground dedication in his hometown.

The Elwyn Campbell Elementary School, which is located across the street from where Gannon grew up in New Bedford, will be holding a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony tomorrow for a new playground that was named in his honor.

The Yarmouth Police Foundation are raising money to fund a new K-9 Officer Training Facility that will also be dedicated to Gannon and will be named in his honor.
