Christmas Wishes 2020 – Family 054

We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Now we’re asking you and your family (friends, colleagues, etc) to considering sponsoring this family.

If you would like to sponsor this family, please read the description below and fill out the form.

Family consists of mom, grandma and 2 kids living in an apartment together. Grandmother has been in and out of the hospital for a number of health related procedures. The mom in this family takes care of grandma and the 2 kids and is the only source of income for this family. Both kids struggle with ADHD and the older child struggles to express herself in a positive manner. She attends therapy to work on this and decrease her anxiety. Mom has recently put in a referral for In Home Therapy as she believes it would be beneficial if the whole family were involved. The family attends church weekly and tries to do things together as a family. The teen girl loves gymnastics and spends a lot of time walking the family dog as it helps her emotionally. While the mom is at work, the teen girl is responsible for watching her brother and helping grandma. Child #1, male, age 10 needs clothing and a winter coat, size 8/10. Favorite color is blue. He likes Minecraft, Legos and Pokémon cards. Child #2, female, age 14 also needs clothing and a winter coat, size Junior Small. She loves the color aqua/teal. She loves Mermaids (not the Little Mermaid) She loves decorating her room, arts and crafts and reading. A card to Barnes and Noble would be really nice. Grandmother could use some PJ's or sweats size women's medium. She would love a gift card to Barnes and Noble. The mother would welcome a gift card to Walmart, Target or any grocery store.
