FALMOUTH – The Falmouth Academy Mariners received career-performances from underclassmen Christie Brake and Jane Earley as the hosts devoured the Cape Cod Academy (3-3) girls’ lacrosse team, 18-6 Tuesday to remain unbeaten on the season at 6-0.
Brake poured in six goals and tacked on five assists for 11 points while Earley netted five goals and had four assists for nine points.
Cape Cod Academy’s Rebekah Nichols netted a hat trick and Jo Jo Edmonds scored a pair of goals to lead the visiting Seahawks. Amelia Way tallied one marker as well. Edmonds scored the Seahawks’ first pair of goals in the first half and Nichols scored the team’s ensuing three goals.
Falmouth Academy also received multiple goals from Addy Hayman (two), Eliza Van Voorhis (two), Hannah Ginsberg (two) and Charlotte Van Voorhis (two).
Kenzie Rogers made nine saves between the pipes for the Mariners.
