FALMOUTH – Both Clippers’ doubles teams and number one singles ace Julia Moskal carried the weight for Falmouth Tuesday afternoon in a 3-2 win over Sandwich and clinched a postseason tournament berth along the way.
Now 8-6 on the season, the Clippers have two matches left – against Bridgewater-Raynham and the tough Martha’s Vineyard team – but have a 5-3 mark in Atlantic Coast League play and needed only Tuesday’s victory to qualify for the MIAA team sectionals.

Falmouth High freshman Julia Moskal helped lead the Clippers to a 3-2 ACL victory over Sandwich yesterday afternoon.

Siranosian defeated Marysia Moskal, 6-1, 6-1 and Stanton won her battle at number three singles against Falmouth’s Emily Gedney, 6-0, 6-1.
Emily Maness and Kayla Sheehan, however, turned things around for the host Clipper girls. Maness and Sheehan downed Lady Knights’ Allison Bryant and Taylor Eccleston in a vicious back-and-forth session, 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.
In number two doubles, Lindsey Shea and Paige Meade made the Clipper victory official with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Amy Bolton and Megan Green.
The Lady Knights fell to 9-7 with the loss and heads to Nauset today at 4:00 pm for their last regular-season match. Falmouth hosts Bridgewater-Raynham in a non-league contest today at 4:00 pm.
