BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox 6-5 last night in extra innings.

Chris Davis singled in the winning run in the 13th, and Baltimore got home runs from Manny Machado and Steve Pearce.

The Orioles have won six of seven to keep alive their narrow shot of earning the second AL wild-card spot.

Boston used nine pitchers, limiting the Orioles to one hit from the sixth inning through the 12th.
