Your Cape Cod Baseball League Report for August 4th

Hyannis lost to Y-D 5-1 and is on an 8 game losing streak heading into the playoffs. It’s been a disappointing road, but they did just enough to get into the postseason. They’re the Jay Cutler of the Cape League, if you will.

Falmouth also lost last night 7-6 to Bourne, but are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the coming weeks as they are the number one overall seed in the League.

Orleans beat Chatham 4-3, but with Brewster’s 5-4 loss to Harwich, the Anglers have the 4-seed in the East while Brewster will have to wait until next summer to redeem themselves.

Cotuit ended their disappointing season with another loss. The Kettleers were shutout by Wareham 6-0 in their last game of the year.

All 8 of the teams who made the postseason will play on Friday in the first round of the playoffs
