FALMOUTH – A man was airlifted to a burn center after an incident in Falmouth about 2 PM Wednesday. Rescuers responded to Fuccillo Ready Mix at 547 Thomas B. Landers Road. A MedFlight helicopter was called to land at Falmouth Hospital for the victim. Officials notified the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to investigate the incident.
From Falmouth Fire-Rescue: At 2:15 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the Falmouth Fire Rescue Department responded to an industrial plant for a report of a person with steam burns. Fire department personnel arrived to find a victim with significant burn injuries after they encountered hot water used to fill a cement truck. Due to the severity of their injuries, Boston MedFlight was requested, and the victim was transported by air to Rhode Island Hospital. No additional information is available at this time.
