East Falmouth woman one of two people killed in Ludlow, MA plane crash

FALMOUTHFrom Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gullluni: Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni has identified the two victims involved in a fatal plane crash Saturday evening in Ludlow.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, members of the Ludlow Police Department and Massachusetts State Police responded to the area of Center Street for a reported missing aircraft. The aircraft, a Piper PA-28 Cherokee, was located in a wooded area off Center Street. Two occupants were found deceased at the scene.

The victims have been identified as Kenneth R. Moore, 66, of Pembroke, and Marcy Asbury, 62, of East Falmouth.

The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office and the Ludlow Police Department, in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.
