EASTHAM – From the Town of Eastham: The Town of Eastham has been made aware of fraudulent invoices and accompanying letters being circulated that falsely appear to be official Town communications.
One recent example involved an invoice related to a Planning Board matter that used the Town’s name, seal, address, and other official-looking information and demanded payment upon receipt.
Residents and applicants are encouraged to use caution with any unexpected request for payment. If you receive an invoice, letter, or payment request and are unsure of its legitimacy, please contact the appropriate Town department directly to verify it before making a payment or providing financial information.
