CHATHAM – A large power outage was reported in Chatham on one of the hottest days of the year. Over 1,800 Eversource customers lost electricity, which the utility blamed on “equipment damage.” The company updated that they hoped to have service fully restored by 9:15 PM.
By 7 PM the outage had been reduced to a handful of customers.
Shortly after 7 PM a new outage affecting over 1,200 customers was reported with a restoration estimate of 9:15 PM.
