2015 was a banner year for arts on the Cape. Before we raise a glass to the New Year, let’s take a look back at 10 of the top arts events that delighted audiences from one end of the peninsula to the other, according to the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.

10.) The Provincetown Jazz Festival presented Jazz Pianist & Composer Fabiano de Castro from Brazil at a sold-out concert at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Fabiano is the first musician from South America to appear at the festival and he also performed an encore with Kate McGarry, a Grammy-Nominated Jazz Vocalist from North Carolina who is originally from Cape Cod.
9.) The Cotuit Center for the Arts produced some unique theater productions including “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” ‘Gypsy!’ and “The Pirates of Penzance.”
8.) The Cultural Center of Cod’s Very Gorey Halloween Party with Siobhan Magnus was Halloween fun for the adults.
7.) The Woods Hole Film Festival: Eight days of screenings, music, workshops, panel discussions, parties, special events and more
6.) Wellfleet Oyster Fest, the town’s raucous annual salute to its favorite bivalve.
5.) The Heritage Museum and Garden’s Secret Shelters Exhibit, an outdoor exhibit of artists’ and architects’ interpretations of ‘secret shelters’ tucked around Heritage’s trees, hills and hidden spaces.
4.) The Sandwich Glass Museum’s Pumpkinfest – A pumpkin patch filled with unique hand-blown glass pumpkins of all sizes crafted by prominent local and national glass artisans.
3.) TD Bank Summer Concert Series – 32 local music concerts in eight towns across the Cape over four weeks.
2.) The Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival – A showcase of some of the Cape’s most talented female performers on the grounds of the Cape Cinema to benefit the Cape Wellness Collaborative.
1.) Pops by the Sea – Keith Lockhart & Co.’s annual pilgrimage to the Cape is a perennial crowd pleaser.
