A Guide to Vegetarian and Vegan-Friendly Food on Cape Cod

Lobster, clams or fried fish: It’s what’s for dinner.

At least, that is what everyone expects when they come to Cape Cod. But just like life on Cape Cod isn’t all sandbars and oyster-shucking, culinary experiences on the Cape go way beyond chow-dah. And if you’re vegetarian – or just a fan of the occasional meatless dish – Cape Cod offers a full plate of options. Vegetarians, vegans and just plain healthier eaters will find a variety of eateries that cater to them. Here are some of our favorites:

Siena Restaurant, 17 Steeple Street (Mashpee Commons), Mashpee

Siena is a classic Italian eatery with some specialty vegetarian plates that are hard to find elsewhere. A great place to meet with a group or dine on a date, Siena offers many vegetarian dishes and may be the only Italian restaurant in the region to offer a separate vegan-friendly menu.
Don’t miss: Butternut Squash Tortellacci, Artichoke and Basil Risotto (Vegan)

Dan’l Webster Inn, 149 Main Street, Sandwich

A legendary Cape Cod establishment, the Dan’l Webster Inn is one of the most elegant settings for special occasion dining on Cape Cod. Vegetarians love the Dan’l Webster since they are always remembered on their daily and holiday menus. Be sure to make a reservation!
Don’t miss: Just ask for a vegetarian dish – it is bound to be elegant and delicious. Also, indulge in their pavlova or crème brulee-de-jour desserts.

Don’t miss: Veggie Reuben, Kickstarter, Soup of the Day

Pavilion Indian, 511 Main Street, Hyannis

One of the few places on Cape Cod with a dedicated vegetarian menu, Pavilion is also a great destination for lovers of spice. Vegans may wish to ask their server which options are without dairy.
Don’t miss: Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan with Raita

Bangkok Kitchen, 339 Barnstable Road, Hyannis

Don’t mistake this Thai restaurant for a hole-in-the-wall not worthy of your time. Accommodations here may be modest, but the food is a few cuts above most other Thai establishments within a 50-mile radius, and the staff is delightful and welcoming. You’ll find traditional Thai options, almost all of which can be vegetarian or vegan – just be sure to double check with servers, since some are made with a fish sauce.
Don’t miss: Pad Kee Mao, Massaman Curry, Lemongrass entrée

Dependably healthy and tasty foods come from Earthly Delights, where they specialize in getting your food to you quickly. Enjoy generous portions, fresh smoothies and juices.

They use seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible, which keeps money in the community. The cafe’s vegetarian and vegan dishes are sure to destroy any assumption that meatless and dairyless food can’t be rich, delicious and satisfying. A bit more suited to vegetarians, but some vegan options are occasionally available.

  1. There’s so many more than this.
J-Bar in Harwich, 141 Bradford in Provincetown, the Pickle Jr in Falmouth has options… so many more

  2. I must show some appreciation to you just for rescuing me from this type of
setting. Just after searching through the search engines and seeing
tips which are not pleasant, I believed my entire life was well over.
Being alive minus the solutions to the issues
you’ve sorted out by way of this website is
a serious case, and ones that would have negatively damaged my career if I hadn’t discovered your website.

Your own know-how and kindness in controlling almost everything was very
useful. I’m not sure what I would have done if I had not
come across such a point like this. I can at this moment look
ahead to my future. Thanks for your time very much for the specialized and sensible guide.

I will not be reluctant to refer your web page to any person who will need recommendations about
    this matter. https://thermosculptpro.net/

    Great selections you posted. Thanks
Green lotus in Hyannis is one of my favorites and don’t miss out on the roasted vegetable pizza ( minus the cheese ) at the Talkative Pig in Harwich. It’s to die for. I’m a pizza lover and get cheeseless pizzas everywhere nothing compares to this one. My wife loves the green salad with chicken.
    Prices are very reasonable
