The Xylophonia Ragtime Marimba Band, Sun, 1/27,3 pm, Cultural Center of Cape Cod, Yarmouth

This unusual and wonderful band plays ragtime music but also some other gems things like the theme from The Muppet Show, a lovely version of Danny Boy, a Guatemalan folk song with Latin percussion, etc. for variety, for humor, and to help tell the story of the music and the instruments. The performers all talk during the program, telling short anecdotes and facts about the history of ragtime and the instruments.
