This happy pup has traveled a long way to meet you!
Are you looking for a fun, active young mixed breed to share your home? Temple is a lovebug and will rub against you like a big kitty for petting and attention. She is an energetic girl and can be jumpy when excited. She loves toys, especially jolly balls! Temple will thrive in a home where she gets lots of exercise, and can relax in a quiet home when she’s back from a fun walk or hike.
If you’re ready to help a young dog meet the world, Temple may be your girl. She isn’t used to certain new things, and creeps up to them slowly to check them out at first. She’s been making great progress here but there will still be things that she finds unfamiliar at first. Likewise, Temple can be shy on first meeting with strangers at times and is not comfortable with children. She is looking for an adult only situation with no visiting children. It doesn’t take long for her to make friends with new adults, especially if there is a ball, or a walk, or a treat involved. With people that she knows, Temple is very sweet and affectionate.
This beautiful 1 year old enjoys playing with toys and has also made friends with other dogs here – she loves to play keep away and chase with her canine friends. She does pull on leash when seeing a new potential playmate. She does seem overexcited by cats, so no small critters at home please!

Because Temple came from Puerto Rico, we don’t know her past history. However, she seems to keep her kennel pretty clean here and may have a good jump on house-training. She has demonstrated some anxiety in the kennel here and can’t wait to get into a nice home so she can relax and show her true colors!
Temple’s adoption fee is $400, which includes the costs of her transport from Puerto Rico.
