Where To Go and What To Do On Cape Cod This Week

With only a couple of weeks before Christmas arrives, the Cape is loaded with holiday events.

Take a peek at some of the events coming up over the next few days!

Holiday Craft Night, Wed, 12/12, 6-8 PM, Mid Cape Home Center, S. Dennis

This one’s for the grownups! Enjoy holiday craft making along with a wine tasting and hor d’oeuvres. There is a $25 cost and reservations are required. All the info is at midcape.net.

Tip a Cop at the British Beer Company in Sandwich and Falmouth, Thurs, 12/13, 5-9 PM

Sandwich and Falmouth Police officers will be at the BBC in their towns, waiting tables and collecting tips for the Special Olympics.

Cape Cod Healthcare Blood Drive, Thurs, 12/13, 10-4, Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

The Cape Cod Healthcare Bloodmobile will spend the day at the Museum. Stop and give if you’re able!

Telethon for Hope Give-A-Thon Viewing Party, Thurs, 12/13, 5:30-8:30, Cape Cod Beer

The annual HAC Telethon has a new name in its 15th year – and a partner in Cape Cod Beer. Watch via live stream while you enjoy food and beverages, and help support HAC’s work to provide safe, stable housing for all. Matt Pitta from the CC.com Newscenter will be your host for the evening. West Dennis Holiday Stroll, Saturday, 12/15, 11-4

Most of the retailers along Main Street (Rt. 28 ) will have some holiday cheer to share!  Catch a ride on the trolley to visit all of the stops along Route 28. Maps will be available showing parking and participating sites.

Holiday Book Giveaway, Sat, 12/15, 11 AM, Wellfleet Library

The Library is setting up a free book table in the Children’s Room. Come choose a new book for every child and teen. Wrapping paper provided. All ages.

Celtic Christmas Family Celebration, Sat, 12/15, 7-9 PM, Cultural Center of Cape Cod

Celtic duo Stanley & Grimm entertain with a celebration of traditional music through old and new interpretations of jigs, reels, and songs played with lively fiddle, guitar, and voice. Complimentary refreshments will be served. Tickets at cultural-center.org.

Hilarious For The Holidays, Sat, 12/15, 8 PM, Seacrest Beach Hotel, Falmouth

This comedy night will not only have you laughing, you’ll also help raise money for Wings for Falmouth Families—a local nonprofit that provides financial support to families affected by tragedy or medical crises. Musical comedian Dave Andrews will headline the event, with appearances by Boston Comedy Festival finalist Mike Whitman and “the funniest person in Massachusetts,” Carolyn Riley. SANTA CLAUS is coming to the Moose!, Sat, 12/15 10am-3pm

Grab the kids and your pets and come on down to The Moose Lodge Craft Fair! Pictures with Santa: 12pm-2pm (pets welcome!), In an effort to aid the Damien Larson Fund, fudge and dipped cookies will be available for purchase. There are tons of awesome activities including a Bake Sale, raffles, tons of shopping with local vendors and a craft station to keep kids busy while you shop!! Whoohoo! There will be a professional photographer on-site taking pictures and framing the prints to capture your holiday moment. These prints are available for purchase! You can also take your own.

 

Cornhole Christmas, Sun, 12/16, 12-4 PM, Sandwich Hollows

Up to 32 pairs of cornhole players will vie for holiday season bragging rights, with all entry fees supporting the Sandwich PMC Kids Ride, which raises money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Registration is $50 per two-person team and Cape Cod Cornhole will also be donating a special prize for a raffle drawing to be held during the tournament.
