CHATHAM – The First United Methodist Church in Chatham will host two special events during the second week of August.
The Cape Cod Fiddlers will be performing as part of the church’s Music for a Summer Night Series on Sunday, August 7 at 7 p.m.
The fiddlers, who are known for their energetic performances, draw their inspiration from the Irish, Scottish, Scandinavian, French Canadian and American fiddle traditions.
The group plays concerts, festivals, dances, weddings and parties, and this is their 23rd performance at the church. Tickets for the family-friendly event are $10 at the door.
Three days later, on Wednesday, August 10, the church will host the 29th annual Professional Art and Crafts Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The free show features professionally made, handcrafted items from more than 50 artisans.
The church is located at the corner of Main and Cross Streets in the center of downtown Chatham.
