Local Banks Named Top Banks to Work For Nationwide

HYANNIS – The publication American Banker has named multiple local banks as some of the best banks to work for in the nation.

Cape Cod 5 came in at number 13 on the list. This marks the fourth time that the bank has been recognized with the honor since it was established in 2013.

The publication praised Cape Cod 5 for their commitment to the education of employees, including their tuition assistance programs for undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as a repayment program for student loans.

Seamen’s Bank entered the list at number 25, with praise given for their adjustments during the pandemic and amid falling interest rates. Their investments to ensure remote work made accessibility easier for employees, American Banker said.

American Banker put The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod at number 48 on their list. The publication highlighted, among other things, their “Office Olympics” program and their on-site fitness center as a way to encourage employees to stay physically fit.

Finally, number 89 on the list was Martha’s Vineyard Bank. American Banker commended the bank for easing the burdens of work on their employees. A new scheduling system implemented and tailoring positions for each employee, the publication said, has been beneficial for Martha’s Vineyard Bank employees.
