High winds and low wind chill temperatures for Thursday into Friday

HYANNIS – With high winds in the forecast for today into tomorrow, towns and weather experts are warning residents to stay safe.

A surge of Arctic air will bring strung gusts and low wind chill temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusts could reach as high as 50 mph on the Outer Cape and Islands, and 45 on the Upper Cape.

The lowest wind chill temperatures will be in the teens.
