EASTHAM – State Representative Sarah Peake, members of Mass Department of Transportation, and the National Park Service will congregate for a meeting this week over the status of the Governor Prence Road project in Eastham.
The meeting will take place Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the National Seashore’s Headquarters, 99 Marconi Site Road, Wellfleet.
Peake said she is committed to pushing for a safe crossing in that area, as many people living nearby have called for.
The Cape Cod Commission has completed a Route 6 and Governor Prence Road Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon Analysis of the area, and suggests that the area does indeed require a safe crossing due to the high vehicle speeds and large volumes of traffic.
