Vendor Applications Open for Wellfleet SPAT Events

WELLFLEET – Wellfleet Shellfish Promotion & Tasting, Inc. is looking for fine art and craft vendors for its two major fundraising events this summer and fall.

The non-profit organization works to support Wellfleet’s aquaculture and shellfishing industries.

Proceeds from the two events fund the Wellfleet SPAT’s college scholarship program, community grant awards and initiatives to support the shellfishing industry.

The 8^th annual SummerFair is the first of the two events and will be held July 20 and 21 on the Windmill Green in Eastham.

Approximately 60 artists will be chosen to exhibit at SummerFair and applications, which cost $10, are due by midnight on April 1^st.

The 16^th annual Wellfleet OysterFest will feature 90 vendors on October 15 and 16.

This two-day family festival celebrates the town’s oysters, clams and shellfishing traditions and attracted over 25,000 visitors last year.

Vendor applications cost $20 and are due by midnight April 15^th.

Categories for vendors include ceramics, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, metalsmithing, mixed media, painting, printmaking, photography, specialty foods and wood.
